Paper Players 247

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Time for another Paper Players challenge!!  Laurie is our hostess and since it's the fifth Sunday, we have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge!  Check it out:

I chose the diagonal running from the left bottom to right top to make a 50th anniversary card for my friend Martha:

I used Very Vanilla and Gold Foil for my creation along with some retired floral Cuttlebug folders.  I embellished the flowers with some SU gold sequins and pearls, as well as a little gathering of lace;  I used the retired Timeless Type die set for the numbers and the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit on which to "frame" them.

The sentiment is 1 Corinthians 13:13 from a retired Cornish Heritage Farms set, and it is stamped in Gold Encore ink.  And for the inside of my card, I stamped the "congrats" from Guy Greetings and added a little gold diecut bell:

And since this has sequins, I am submitting this to the City Crafter Challenge this week, which is sequins!

Happy Anniversary, Martha, and I wish you many more years!

Now, what will you create with this tic-tac-toe challenge?  Be sure to share your creation at the PP blog, and meanwhile check out what the other designers created!

 Enjoy your day!

MTS074 Guy Greetings

Happy Saturday, peeps!  I have a fun Guy Greetings card for you, using the Match the Sketch sketch challenge:

And here's my card:

I used some Cosmo Cricket papers, a Naturals Ivory card base and some little black brads!  Easy peasy!  And here's the inside:

A fun sketch!  Thanks for visiting today and be sure to come back tomorrow for a new Paper Players challenge!

CASC&S126, RRCB15 and KJ225

Happy Friday, peeps!  This card (and post) is clean and simple!!  It is for three challenges, though!  The CAS Colours & Sketches challenge sketch:

The Retro Rubber challenge of Vintage Lace:

RRCB15

And the Kraft Journal challenge of embossing, and I chose heat embossing:

I sort of pegged this card together quickly; I had some old lace in my stash and I threaded some gold ribbon from SU through the holes; the image and sentiment are from a retired Crafty Secrets set that I think I have used once!  I stamped the chandelier in Gold Encore, then heat embossed it with Gold Glory embossing powder; the sentiment and card base are Melon Mambo.  Quick & easy….oh, I did color in the bulbs with So Saffron ink and added some Gelly Roll glitter!

Thanks for visiting!

FMS188

Happy Thursday, everyone!  I had an order for a bridal shower card, so I put the Freshly Made Sketches sketch for this week to use:
I scanned Pinterest for some ideas since my time was limited, and I fell in love with this card, so I CASEd it, tweaking it just a bit and using the sketch:

I added some pearls, Soft Sky seaming binding and baker’s twine, and a wee bit of a lace flower for the gown’s embellishments:

I used Teeny Tiny Wishes for the sentiment on the front, and a retired set called Heard from the Heart for the inside (along with some Itty Bitties butterflies)!!

Thanks for visiting today!

A few more Dutch Wonderland shots!

Enjoy your day!

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Time for another Try Stampin’ On Tuesday challenge!  This week we are back to a sketch…try this one on for size:

I pulled out some of that fun Cherry on Top DSP from the upcoming catalog…there are just so many cute designs in there….and I had the Paper Pumpkin Birthday Bundle stamp set on my desk, so I thought I would use it for a cheerful birthday card:

I stamped the balloons in Cool Cucumber, Watermelon Wonder and Crushed Curry, then embossed each one with a different embossing folder!

s

I stamped the sentiment in Watermelon Wonder and the strings in Soft Sky; then I added some Candy Dots to each one of the horizontal panels, and I snuck one on the sentiment as well!  Fun and easy!

I do hope you’ll play along with the sketch this week….stop by and check out what the others on the team did as well!  You might get chosen as one of the top three!

Here are a couple of pix from the Baltimore Zoo that I hadn’t shared yet:

MTS073 Sympathy

DSCF0115

Happy Monday, peeps…Happy Memorial Day (again) to all my American friends!  A quick post today as I want to spend time with my family!  I needed a sympathy card, so the Match the Sketch sketch this week worked well:

I had some Moonlight DSP on my desk for another project, so I pulled this pattern in Smoky Slate, stamped my Summer Silhouette images in Blushing Bride and Mint Macaron, then added some lace to my punched tag, some embossed stripes and a wee bit of ribbon.

Sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes…I hope SU never retires that set!  Thanks for visiting today!

The weekend brought a trip to Lancaster County’s famous Dutch Wonderland for Cassidy!  You’ll be seeing more smiles like this:

But this one cracked me up the most!  Dana’s boyfriend with his beard really does look like an Amish man (but not a boy!)….and check out the demure look on Cassidy’s face!

Paper Players 246

DSCF0053

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Hope you’re having a fabulous weekend, especially since it’s the Memorial Day holiday weekend in the USA!  Today Anne Marie has a sketch challenge for us at the Paper Players!  Here you go:

I was definitely having stamper’s block with my card this week…it was not the sketch; I LOVE the sketch; I just couldn’t make anything work!  Finally, I pegged together something that I liked, using some older Unity stamps:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Paper Players 246

and the color challenge from Colour Me…! shown here:

I used some SAB paper from the recent catalog; stamped my images in Bermuda Bay and colored them with a blender pen and Pear Pizzazz ink:

and then a row of polka dots using a PTI set, stamped in Smoky Slate and again, colored with a blender pen:

I received the fun baker’s twine as a gift and it worked perfectly with the colors too, so I added that behind my image for a fun embellishment!  A couple of stitched borders and a “celebrate” sentiment and my card will get added to my birthday card stash!

Hope you find the sketch inspiring and will play along with us this week too!  Here’s what the other designers created with it:
